PORT ANGELES — A bullet struck a home on Kruse Road in Port Angeles on Friday evening, prompting an investigation by the Clallam County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies responded around 5 p.m. and found a 9mm round lodged in the home’s exterior wall. The residence is located just over two miles from the scene of a separate shooting incident the previous day, but investigators determined the two events are not connected.

Officials emphasized the importance of firearm safety and warned that failure to follow basic safety protocols can lead to serious consequences, including criminal charges.

The investigation remains active.
