WOOD RIVER, Neb. (KSNB) - The Hall County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a deadly incident involving a train Sunday.
The sheriff’s office said just before 10:15 a.m., deputies were called to the area of Ninth and Railroad Street in Wood River in reference to a fatality involving a train.
Deputies arrived and located a deceased adult male.
The investigation is ongoing, and the victim has not been positively identified.
The sheriff’s office said an abandoned vehicle with out-of-state plates located nearby is believed to belong to the victim.
