Protests resulting from immigration raids in Los Angeles are entering a fourth day Monday, with police reporting 29 arrests and looting at stores downtown, and the use of tear gas and rubber bullets by police on reporters and demonstrators.

Monday dawned with a tense quiet as officers from police departments around Los Angeles County stood guard over businesses with broken glass, looted shelves and copious amounts of graffiti.

Law enforcement in Los Angeles faced tense protests Sunday over federal immigration raids, with armed National Guard troops now part of the equation.

The Los Angeles Police Department reported it made 10 arrests and the California Highway Patrol said it made 19 arrests, mostly marchers who were on the Hollywood (101) Freeway in downtown.
