Two non-profits teamed up to help each other and the community Saturday afternoon.
Paws and Pints, a collaborative effort between the ANNA Shelter and the Community Blood Bank, took place at the ANNA Wellness Center.
Visitors had the opportunity to donate blood in the Blood Bankmobile unit and stop in to support the shelter.
Organizers said there was a line to donate blood when doors opened Saturday morning.
“This is the first time we've partnered with the blood bank, so I’m excited,” said Ruth Thompson, Director of the ANNA Shelter. “Maybe it'll be an annual thing if it works out well with them, but definitely our way of giving back. I love to help and support all of the other non-profits in the area if I can, we can, so hopefully it's something we can do again."
