It appears the Saskatchewan Roughriders are set to bring in a new running back. Article content

The move comes after Saskatchewan’s starting running back A.J. Ouellette suffered what appeared to be a head injury in the Roughriders’ season opening 31-26 win over the Ottawa Redblacks on Thursday. His status for Saturday’s Week 2 game in Hamilton against the Tiger-Cats is unclear at this point as the Roughriders will return to practice on Tuesday.
After starting his CFL career with Calgary in 2019, Carey played four seasons with the Stampeders, including a 1,088-yard season in 2022, before joining the Toronto Argonauts in 2024.
