California Gov. Gavin Newsom said California will sue the Trump administration on the grounds it did not coordinate with the governor of the state before deploying the National Guard. This is not the first time the National Guard has been sent to Los Angeles. However, it is the first time it has been activated without a governor's request since 1965.
