LAREDO, Tex. (KGNS) - For student-athletes dreaming of playing collegiate baseball, Texas A&M International University (TAMIU) is the place to be.

TAMIU is launching its first-ever Dustdevil Baseball Prospect Camp, designed to evaluate and develop baseball talent. Marilyn Bautista, Assistant Director of Athletic Development and External Affairs, shared that prospect camps are becoming increasingly popular and provide a valuable opportunity for athletes.

The first session is set for Tuesday, June 17, from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Jorge Haynes Field, with a second camp scheduled for August.

The camp is open to players ages 15 to 25. Pricing is as follows:

$100 for pitchers

$120 for one position

$125 for dual positions
