Ground has broken and a $181.8 million construction loan has been secured related to a mixed-use project in the North Gulch.

As the Post reported in June 2024, the 16-story tower is being constructed on 0.79 acres at 1221 Grundy St. It will offer 144 extended stay hotel units, 168 time share residences, and restaurant and retail spaces of about 14,500 square feet collectively (read more and see additional photos here ).

New York-based Tidal Real Estate Partners is the development company, with Nashville-based ESa serving as the architect. A source with information about the project and who asked to go unnamed said on-site construction work started Monday.

The future building will stand about 180 feet tall and offer an exterior of primarily glass, concrete and aluminum.
