CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) - Gas prices in South Carolina are getting lower thanks to upped oil refinery output across the nation.
The price of gas in South Carolina fell by 4.1 cents per gallon in the past week, making the average cost $2.70 per gallon.
That price is the same as a month ago and 34.6 cents per gallon lower than a year ago.
The lowest priced gallon of gas in the state over the weekend was going for $2.38 while the most expensive was $3.49.
Meanwhile, in the Lowcountry, the 8410 Dorchester Road Circle K in North Charleston is marking its third week as the cheapest station, selling gas for $2.42 a gallon this weekend.
