COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) - One person was killed and four people are facing charges after a deadly weekend shooting in the Midlands.

The Richland County Sheriff’s Department said 20-year-old Makenzie Shine, 18-year-old Sa’riya Green, 17-year-old Elon Williams and a 15-year-old were each arrested in connection with a shooting Sunday evening on Percival Road and Quail Run Lane.

RCSD said deputies responded at around 7 p.m. to Percival Road and Quail Run Lane for reports of a shooting. Deputies were told a vehicle struck a wall in the same area where a gunshot was heard. The vehicle involved in the crash was later located, with the driver found dead inside.

Deputies then reportedly learned four suspects fled from the scene of the crash when the gunshot was fired. RCSD K-9 units then responded
