A motorist visiting Sandbanks Provincial Park has been charged with impaired driving.

Saturday , shortly before 3 p.m., Prince Edward County OPP received a report of a possible impaired driver at Sandbanks Provincial Park.

Officers located and stopped the vehicle.

Louis Clermont, age 28 of Rosemere, Quebec, has been charged with:

Operation while impaired

Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Picton on July 2 .

The individual’s driver’s licence has been suspended for 90 days and vehicle impounded for seven days.

A Prince Edward County resident has been charged following an incident in Wellington.
