Plans are in place for a new grocery store coming to Millcreek Township.

According to Millcreek Township Planning and Development Director Matthew Waldinger, the Aldi will be located on West Ridge Road just east of the Walmart property by the traffic light.

He said Aldi reached out to the township about a year ago with a preliminary investigation and submitted plans back in May.

That land development plan was approved by the board of supervisors.

"I think you already have some attractive businesses around there, obviously Walmart attracts a lot of traffic, you have got Wegmans nearby, and I think people like to group their shopping trips together. So yeah, I think that is a good spot for a store such as Aldi," said Waldinger.
