The provincial government’s controversial Bill 5, known as the ‘Protecting Ontario by Unleashing Our Economy Act’ officially received royal assent and became law last Thursday, coincidentally during the Canadian Mining Expo (CME) in Timmins where it was discussed by some of the presenters.
Bill 5 aims to speed up resource development projects in response to economic uncertainty in the wake of the current relations between Canada and the U.S.
