LAREDO, Tex. (KGNS) - The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) is holding a public meeting to gather community input on a project along Mines Rd.

The meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, June 17, at the Barbara Fasken Recreation Center, located at 15201 Cerralvo Dr., in the multi-purpose room.

This is the department’s second meeting with the public, focusing on gathering community input on a preliminary plan to ease traffic from I-69 to two miles north of FM 3338.

Officials from the department, including Raul Leal, say that one alternative project has been gaining support, and they would like to know what the community thinks about it.
