Laredo BP detains 3 undocumented immigrants attempting to swim across Rio Grande

LAREDO, Tex. (KGNS) - The Border Patrol’s Laredo Sector Marine Unit apprehended three undocumented individuals who were seen swimming across the Rio Grande River.

On Monday, June 9, the U.S. Border Patrol Laredo Sector shared information about a case on their Facebook page.

It began when the Marine Unit witnessed nine undocumented immigrants trying to swim across the Rio Grande River to enter the United States.

Agents apprehended three undocumented immigrants while others swam back to Mexico. The agency stated that its agents remain vigilant while patrolling the river.
