NEWBURGH, Ind. (WFIE) - Heritage Federal Credit Union is partnering with Junior Achievement of Southwestern Indiana.
The bank is making a significant pledge of $50,000 to the non-profit.
The money will be used to help fund a brand new discovery center.
Officials say it will be the first of its kind in the Tri-State.
The center will be a sort of ‘mini-city’ where kids can play the roles of different workers in a community.
Jared Voellinger, Senior Vice President of business banking at Heritage Federal Credit Union, spoke about the pledge.
“This is just a small piece of what it will take to bring this type of facility to town, but we’re happy to support Junior Achievement and their initiative to bring that together,” Voellinger stated.
