LAREDO, Tex. (KGNS) - The Laredo Police Department is continuing its investigation into a man who was allegedly acting erratically on a city street before he died.

According to reports, police received multiple calls about a man running through traffic in the 1500 block of Guadalupe St. on Sunday, June 8.

We were informed that 37-year-old Hector Lino entered a business and allegedly grabbed hold of a person inside. When officers arrived, he reportedly ran back out into the street and then fell to the ground.

Police say that officers on the scene detained Lino for his own safety and that of those around him. Once medical personnel arrived, he received Narcan and other life-saving measures.

Lino was taken to Laredo Medical Center in critical condition, where he later passed away.
