LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) - A 17-year-old was killed in a shooting in North Las Vegas Sunday, police say.

North Las Vegas Police said the shooting happened at 1:55 a.m. in the 3100 block of East Lake Mead Boulevard near Civic Center.

Officers were dispatched to a business nearby and found a 17-year-old unresponsive. Medical arrived but despite life-saving measures, he died at the scene.

Police say the suspect fled the scene before officers could arrive. NLVPD detectives are investigating the homicide.

The identification of the deceased, along with the cause and manner of death, will be released by the Clark County Coroner’s Office.
