Counsel for an immigrant mistakenly removed from the United States to El Salvador have raised objections as the Trump administration moves to dismiss the plaintiff’s civil lawsuit in Maryland—challenging his deportation—while prosecuting him in Tennessee.

The White House has insisted the man, Kilmar Armando Abrego Garcia, is a member of the MS-13 criminal gang. His attorneys say there is no evidence for the assertion.
