WASHINGTON, D.C. — White House aides were reportedly caught off guard today as President Donald Trump abruptly dimmed the lights in the Oval Office and forced the visiting South African president to watch the entirety of Home Alone 2: Lost in New York .

South African President Cyril Ramaphosa arrived in the United States on May 19, but said this was the first time anyone had confronted him about watching the 1992 box office smash.

"It's a great film. I'm in it. If you know what's good for your country, you'll watch it," Trump said as he motioned for aides to pop a VHS tape into the Oval Office VCR. "Some people say it's even better than the first movie. Is it because I'm in it? I don't know. Some people think so. You'll just have to find out for yourself."
