Multiple people have died following a shooting at a school in Austria, according to reports.

Police responded to the shooting at the BORG Dreischützengasse in the city of Graz at around 10 a.m. local time on the morning of Tuesday, June 10, per local public broadcaster ORF .

Several people have died in the attack while others have been seriously injured, the outlet reported, citing the Interior Ministry. The broadcaster noted that students and teachers were among the victims.

ORF added that the suspected shooter is believed to have killed himself, citing police spokesman Fritz Grundnig.

Per local outlet Die Presse , a "major police operation" has been launched.
