Douglas County comes into 2025 with one of the top rosters in the state. Led by a roster as deep as they come, the Tigers are ready to take home the 6A championship.
At the helm of its top roster is 3-star quarterback Mike Johnson.
Johnson recently transferred to the Tigers from Dutchtown, where he has played the past few seasons. Johnson totaled about 2700 yards and 24 touchdowns through the air last season. He added another 534 yards and touchdowns on the ground.
He turned into a top recruit and many schools were looking towards the 2026 signal-caller.
On Tuesday, Johnson announced that he was taking his talents to Salt Lake City to play for the Utah Utes.
He visited Utah this past weekend, and had nothing but great things to say about it.
