RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. (WACH) — A Richland County deputy and a civilian driver were injured Tuesday morning when another car crashed into them during a traffic stop, officials said.
The crash happened around 11:30 a.m. near the intersection of Two Notch Road and Polo Road.
According to the Richland County Sheriff’s Department , Deputy Muhammad had pulled over a burgundy sedan that was missing a license plate.
While both the deputy and the driver stayed in their vehicles, a black Acura hit the civilian’s car head-on, pushing it into Deputy Muhammad’s patrol vehicle.
