President Donald Trump promised the troops at Fort Bragg that he would restore the names of all military bases previously named for Confederate generals, saying that he was “very superstitious” and “we won a lot of battles out of those forts.”

Fort Bragg, more than 250-square-mile Army base located north of Fayetteville, North Carolina, is one of the largest military bases in the world by population with over 52,000 military personnel stationed there.
