LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — A man was sentenced Tuesday for leading law enforcement on a chase in Waverly and ramming their vehicles .
Trenton Engel of Pleasant Dale got 12 years in prison for six felonies, including third-degree assault on an officer and operating a motor vehicle to avoid arrest.
He could be eligible for parole in six years, but once he is out, he will spend four years on probation.
Engel will also have his driver’s license revoked for 17 years.
On Oct. 8, Lancaster County deputies tried to pull over Engel after receiving a report that he had threatened to kill a woman.
But court documents say Engel sped off, driving his pickup truck over curbs and through fields in Waverly.
