LAPORTE — A driver, who fled a traffic stop Monday leaving behind a "haul of methamphetamine," remains at large, according to LaPorte County police.

The suspect fled around noon Monday during a traffic stop along westbound Interstate 94 in the area of County Road 450 North, police said.

The man fled on foot north from the highway and police were unable to locate him. The search continued without success using police dogs and drones.

Area residents of Center and Springfield townships have been asked to report anything suspicious to police.
