ASHTABULA, Ohio (WOIO) - A law enforcement search is underway in the backyard of a house in Ashtabula connected to the case of a 14-year-old boy who vanished more than 30 years ago .

Donnell White Jr. was last seen in Ashtabula in August 1991.

On Wednesday, Ashtabula Police and U.S. Marshals searched for potential evidence behind the West 38th Street home where Donnell lived prior to his disappearance.

19 News crews watched as investigators combed though dirt and debris dug up by heavy machinery in the rear yard.

Investigators with the coroner’s office were also spotted at the scene on Tuesday, when the search of the property began.
