RALEIGH COUNTY, W.Va. (WCHS) — A Pennsylvania fugitive accused of fatally shooting a dog in Raleigh County, West Virginia, has been arrested, deputies said.
Joel Lynn Dick has been charged with cruelty to animals and use of a firearm during the commission of a felony, according to a social media post from the Raleigh County Sheriff’s Office.
The post said deputies were dispatched to the Naoma area last week after a dog was reportedly shot and a warrant for Dick was issued following a comprehensive investigation.
Investigators discovered Dick was wanted for unrelated charges out-of-state and is now awaiting extradition to Pennsylvania.
