Heavy rainfall will continue in Calgary Tuesday, but the drops that have already fallen are causing some issues.

Calgary police have closed southbound Tsuut’ina Trail between Glenmore Trail and 90 Avenue SW due to flooding this morning.

Rain began falling Monday evening and 10 to 20 mm is expected to fall Tuesday, according to Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC).

The weather agency has issued a rainfall warning for the city.

The rain is expected to end Tuesday night.

Tuesday will also be rather chilly, with a high of just 11 C. Thankfully, the cool weather isn’t expected to stick around.

“Fortunately, it’s only going to be one day of that — back to 22 C on Wednesday and then 27 on Thursday,” explained ECCC meteorologist Eric Van Lochem.
