An Atlantic City man pleaded guilty Friday to criminal coercion for threatening a truck driver on two separate occasions last year, the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office said.
Dalvin Chalmers, 39, faces a recommended three years in prison when he is sentenced Oct. 24. He will remain in jail pending his sentencing, the Prosecutor's Office said Tuesday in a news release.
On Oct. 25, 2024, Chalmers approached a man who was parking his truck at Richmond and Winchester avenues in the Lower Chelsea neighborhood. Chalmers threatened to assault the man if he did not get out of the truck, the Prosecutor's Office said. The man called police with a description of the suspect.
Police found Chalmers, and the victim identified him as the suspect, the Prosecutor's Office said.
