A man who fatally stabbed a teenager and then went on the run for 18 months has been found guilty of murder.

Thomas Dures, 21, was convicted of killing 19-year-old Matthew Daulby following a three-week trial at Preston Crown Court .

Matthew died in hospital after he was found with stab injuries in Ormskirk , West Lancashire following a mass brawl on 29 July 2023.

Dures was arrested in Greece on 2 December 2024 under an international arrest warrant and extradited back to the UK.

Police attended Railway Road in Ormskirk just after midnight on 29 July 2023 after reports of an ongoing disturbance.

Nineteen-year-old Matthew Daulby was found a short distance away with serious stab injuries. He died in hospital.
