The luxury car company McLaren has broken ground for a new vehicle processing center at Tradepoint Atlantic , the global logistics hub at the Sparrows Point industrial site that used to be home to Bethlehem Steel.

All McLaren vehicle imports already go through the Port of Baltimore , according to a social media post from the Maryland Port Administration. The new facility appears to be part of the company’s plans to expand its footprint in the U.S.

The site, expected to open in late 2026, will be McLaren’s first vehicle processing center in the U.S. The company will use the 50,000 square-foot facility to inspect, customize and prepare vehicles for distribution to its 26 dealerships across the country.
