Bringing the juice: The energy level was definitely up Saturday as the Lions welcomed season ticket members to the Meijer Performance Center for practice. The fans definitely brought the energy and the players were responding to it all practice.

Red-zone offense: Saturday was a padded red zone day for the Lions so I charted the quarterback play in a competitive 7-on-7 period, as follows:

Jared Goff was 5-for-6 with a touchdown pass to wide receiver Jameson Williams on a crosser. Goff's only incompletion in the period was a drop by running back David Montgomery . I thought Goff had a strong day overall Saturday.

Hendon Hooker ran the second offensive unit and went 3-for-6 in the period. He made a great throw to wide receiver Tom Kennedy in the corner of the end zone for a touchdow
