ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) - St. Louis CITY SC lost to Minnesota United Saturday in a match that saw an electric first half and a heartbreaking second.

The match ended 2-1 in favor of Minnesota. All three goals on the scoreboard were from penalty kicks.

CITY was the first to score when Eduard Löwen was able to convert a penalty kick after Tomáš Ostrák was fouled in Minnesota’s box in minute 36.

CITY was able to hold off Minnesota through the rest of the first half.

Things took a turn for the worse for CITY when Chris Durkin fouled a Minnesota player in CITY’s penalty box, earning himself a straight red card. Minnesota’s Kelvin Yeboah met the back of the net on the penalty kick, tying the match in minute 75.
