Former Celtics forward Marcus Morris Sr. was arrested in Florida on a fraud charge over the weekend according to online records.

The 35-year-old was taken into custody at an airport in Florida on a felony charge for “writing a check with insufficient funds” due to a charge in another state.

Morris’ manager Yony Noy indicated on X that the arrest was due to Morris having a debt to a casino.

“Just so everyone understands this is zero fraud here or whatever crap outlets have said regarding fake checks or whatever the hell,” Noy wrote . “This is due to an outstanding marker with a casino. Apparently if you have over $1,200 they can issue a warrant for your arrest. Absolute insanity!”

Morris also responded to the fraud charges over the weekend on his X account.
