The beautifully furnished rooftop deck of the Toyota of Santa Maria dealership was the venue for a Celebration of Service hosted by Altrusa of the Central Coast (ACC) on Friday evening.

The happening was part of the club’s plan to attract new members.

“We are actively and enthusiastically seeking new members. We want to increase our numbers before we start planning this year’s Festival of Trees,” said event chairperson Letitia Kossuth.

Kossuth said that the club's membership took a hit when some older members moved away to be near children.

Friday's party was designed to introduce prospective members to the joys of being of service to the community through Altrusa. While most members are female, male members are welcome.
