Icaught Amateur on Netflix a couple of weeks ago. It’s the story of Terron Forte, a 14-year-old basketball player who learns to navigate the business while still in school.
Michael Rainey Jr. plays the skilled youngster who starts the film being recruited to an elite prep school known for turning out ballers. In an early scene, the audience is privy to the scoreboard through Terron’s eyes. He suffers from dyscalculia, a learning disability that makes it difficult for him to understand or use numbers. Without being able to read the clock, his teammates and coach yell out the count for him to execute before time is up.
