Cat Deeley and Patrick Kielty have announced their separation after 13 years of marriage. The couple, who tied the knot in September 2012 in Rome, confirmed the news in a joint statement released on Tuesday.

In their statement, they said: "We have taken the decision to end our marriage and are now separated. There is no other party involved. We will continue to be united as loving parents to our children and would therefore kindly ask for our family privacy to be respected. There will be no further comment."

Deeley, 48, and Kielty, 54, share two sons, Miles and James Patrick. The couple first met in 2002 while co-hosting the BBC talent show Fame Academy. They lived in Los Angeles for over a decade before relocating to north London.

Deeley is known for her role as a presenter on ITV's This Morning, which she has co-hosted with Ben Shephard since early last year. She began her career on SM:TV Live alongside Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly from 1998 to 2002. Deeley also hosted the US series So You Think You Can Dance from 2006, earning five Emmy nominations for her work.

Kielty, a Northern Irish comedian and presenter, currently hosts RTÉ's The Late Late Show, having taken over from Ryan Tubridy in 2023. He has also presented several documentaries about The Troubles, including the BBC programme My Dad, The Peace Deal And Me, which focused on his father's death at the hands of paramilitary gunmen.

The couple's separation comes after a period of juggling their busy careers, which Kielty previously described as "tricky". He noted that Deeley had to travel to Atlanta for work, making family life a challenge at times. Despite their split, both remain committed to co-parenting their children.
