2025 has been an incredible year for horror already, but there are still plenty of highly-anticipated movies releasing in the fall and winter. With the 2023 Hollywood labor disputes finally in the rearview mirror, 2025 has seen a number of highly-anticipated releases all falling in the same calendar year.

So far in 2025, we've already seen a few all-time great horror movies, including box office hits and critical darlings like Sinners , 28 Years Later , Companion , Bring Her Back , and The Monkey , to name only a few. Even that would be enough to qualify 2025 as a great year for horror, but with so many brilliant filmmakers working in horror, we aren't even close to done.
