A Tampa Police officer was hospitalized after they were shot near Busch Gardens on Wednesday morning, officials said.

The shooting happened near the 9300 block of N. 30th Street, close to Busch Gardens Tampa Bay.

Tampa Police officials said the officer who was shot was hospitalized in stable condition.

The scene was secured and there was no threat to the public, officials added.

It's unknown what led to the shooting.
