RICHMOND — A man who has been arrested on suspicion of murder for times was sentenced last week to 100 years to life, this time for murdering a man in 2022.
Bobby Dee Dozier, 39, was sentenced for murdering 26-year-old Emari Cook on July 14, 2022 , near South 49th Street and Cutting Boulevard in Richmond. Police say that Cook purchased pizza with his girlfriend at a Little Caesars on San Pablo Avenue and was walking home when Dozier pulled up behind them in a Cadillac , asked, “is that you,” and opened fire.
Dozier was convicted of first degree murder earlier this year. During the investigation into Cook’s killing, police tied a phone to Dozier that was registered under the name “Freddy Kruger” (sic), according to court records.
