The man who police say opened fire inside a Midtown Manhattan office building left a suicide note referencing former Pittsburgh Steeler Terry Long, the Associated Press reports.

Four people were killed on Monday when a man , identified by police as Shane Tamura, walked into the lobby of 345 Park Avenue and began shooting.

New York City Mayor Eric Adams said investigators believe Tamura was trying to target the headquarters of the National Football League but accidentally entered the wrong set of elevator banks.

New York City Police Officer Didarul Islam, Blackstone employee Wesley LePatner, and security officer Aland Etienne have all been identified as victims in the shooting.
