The Watertown Police and Recreation departments will host a family event with activities, music, food, followed by a movie on Tuesday, Aug. 5.
National Night Out will take place on Aug. 5 from 5-8 p.m. at the park behind the Police Station 552 Main St., said Watertown Police Lt. Kevin McManus.
“The Recreation Department has done a movie night with us, hosted out back (behind the station),” McManus said. “We had activities happen pre-movie, and we saw it as an opportunity to get public safety information out.”
Some of the activities planned include a bounce house, yard games such as corn hole, an inflatable obstacle course, demonstrations by the WPD’s three dogs, and a touch-a-truck activity where participants can get a close look at vehicles used by police and firefighters. Food will al
