Former NBA All-Star Gilbert Arenas was among six individuals arrested Wednesday and accused of running an illegal gambling business.

According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Arenas is accused of renting out a mansion he owned for the purpose of hosting high-stakes poker games and other illegal gamblign activity from September 2021 to July 2022.

Among those named as Arenas’ co-conspirators are 49-year-old Yevgeni Gershman, who is described as a “suspected organized crime figure from Israel. Gershman is among those accused of managing illegal poker games and collecting a house fee from players to compete.
