Kimmy Robertson and Dana Ashbrook may have inadvertently manifested the paradigm-shattering success of the TV series Twin Peaks. The two actors knew each other before they were cast as Lucy Moran and Bobby Briggs, and were at a bar one night dreaming of getting a series gig. Robertson tells City Paper over Zoom that she said, “‘I want a series too, Dana. But not just any series, I want a series that will change television forever.” A few months before Twin Peaks premiered, she saw a cover of Connoisseur magazine with the headline “Twin Peaks, The Series That May Change It All.’”
