President Donald Trump sent letters to 17 pharmaceutical CEOs demanding lower drug prices within 60 days, following an executive order signed earlier this year.

According to the letter, the order is intended to "stop global freeloading and guarantee that Americans pay the same prices enjoyed by other developed nations."

Trump called on the drug companies to guarantee "most favored nation pricing" for newly launched drugs and Medicaid within the next 60 days.
