Charles Cross left training camp to have surgery in Los Angeles on a dislocated ring finger he practiced with through the first week of Seattle’s camp. Coach Mike Macdonald said following practice Thursday his four-year starter at left tackle should be back practicing by the end of August.
Veteran backup, swing tackle Josh Jones will be the fill-in first-teamer at left tackle the next few weeks.
The Seahawks expect Cross to play in their opening game Sept. 7 against San Francisco.
