Washington Commanders All-Pro wide receiver Terry McLaurin has officially escalated his contract standoff to the highest level yet.

According to multiple reports, the standout wide receiver has formally requested a trade from the Commanders as he enters the final year of his current deal and continues to seek long-term extension.

McLaurin, who initially reported to camp as a “hold-in,” voiced frustration over stalled negotiations, saying he wants to remain in Washington but also wants to feel valued.

“Everything that has transpired up until this point has been frustrating,” McLaurin told reporters. “I want to continue my career [in Washington]. I’ve created my life here. My wife and I bought our first home here so this has been somewhere where I’ve always wanted to be.”
