(WGHP) -- The approval and disapproval ratings for President Donald Trump and some of his bigger policies are fairly evenly split in North Carolina, according to new polling.

Emerson College conducted a poll for Nexstar of 1,000 North Carolinians, 31.1% of whom were Democrats, 35.9% Republicans and 32.9% registered as unaffiliated or with a different party.

The results show that approval for the president sits at 46.4%, while disapproval is at 43.5%. Of the respondents, 10.1% described themselves as neutral or having no opinion on the president.

Of the 410 people who said they voted for Trump, 91.5% approve of his job as president. Only 3.7% of Trump voters now say they disapprove of his job as president, and 4.9% say they feel neutral or have no opinion.
