A pair of incumbents and a pair of perennial hopefuls can be picked by Duluth School District voters in the Aug. 12 primary vote and advanced to Election Day on Nov. 4.
In all, five candidates are running for two At Large seats on the Duluth School Board, with four moving on from the primary. The showdown this fall can feature, in alphabetical order, the familiar-to-voters and familiar-to-our-Duluth Public Schools faces of:
Kelly Durick Eder , a six-year board member and current chair who’s an associate professor of biology and the Title IX coordinator at the College of St. Scholastica. She’s the mother of a sixth-grader at Lincoln Park Middle School and a junior at Denfeld High School.
“It’s pretty easy for me why I love to do this work,” she said in an interview with the News Tribune
